Support to park management -
Camp ration and field equipments:
The Foundation has continued to provide field camp ration to the staff and watchers engaged for protection in the interior forest areas of Periyar Tiger Reserve and other PAs in the landscape. Support was provided for the procurement and distribution of the field equipments to the staff, watchers and also community members engaged for protection.
Training on wildlife management and field techniques:
Trainings were continued during the year which include use of GPS, camera traps, collection of meteorological data such as rainfall, temperature, humidity, etc. However, the GPS training has also been extended to field staff belonging to Munnar (Wildlife).
